Sound and image has been divided in different guilds but Johan Söderberg wants to se them as one unit. With today’s technology it’s much simpler to work with both and at the same time. Söderberg states that it’s equally important for people working with images to be good at sound and vice versa. On account of this he has created an education in Audovisual Design at the University of Dalarna that is going to focus on audiovisual techniques and installations. At Pixelvärk he will showcase different audiovisual techniques, show examples from his own portfolio and present his new program at the University of Dalarna.

Söderberg has a background as film director, film editor and music composer.  He has among other things done music for the documentary The Planet, edited and remixed music to Videocracy. He has also done music videos for Bob Hund, Kent, videos and concert graphics for Familjen and concert videos for Madonna and Robyn.

Johan Söderberg will speak at the Pixelvärk session during Cinemix in the Gothenburg International Film Festival’s main tent on friday february 5th at 11 o’clock. This session will be preceded by a short presentation of Pixelvärk.
