Morrsken a.k.a. Linnea Forslund is trained in classical animation and is studying computer graphics at the Luleå Technical University in Skellefteå.

When she first discovered the art of VJ-ing it struck her as something totally phenomenal since it combined the two best things in life: dance and visuals. The dance floor is the base for her work but she also likes to create visuals for the stage, especially for dance performances.

She likes contrasting strong colors with grayscale, photography from the 20’s with pixel graphics, technology from the 80’s with contemporary images, animation with photo and film, the obvious with the abstract, the self made with the borrowed. She wants to evoke the audience’s emotions, together and sometimes in contrast with the music. Strong visual experiences are not to play with… or maybe that’s what you should do.
The next step is to develop the interactive side of VJ-ing. Explore the contact and interaction with the audience.

Morrsken is one of the people behind the Swedish VJ Union and her next project is creating a VJ scene in Skellefteå.

Morrsken will participate in the VJ jam on friday february 5th and do an artist presentation on saturday february 6th.
