Modul8 is a great software for getting started as a VJ. It has a short learning curve but it’s still very powerful. It has three levels of complexity and in this workshop we will get in to the first step. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of VJ software, but it helps to have general knowledge of video editing. If you have Mac, you can download the demo and play around for yourself to get familiar with the program. If you’re not a mac user, don’t get discouraged! Many things you learn in this workshop could be applied to other VJ programs.

The workshop will be held by Andreas Apelqvist and Dan Nordgren from the local VJ group Startsladd. Andreas and Dan has many years experience of VJ-ing and they work full time with video production. Please let us know in the form if you don’t speak swedish. The workshop will be held at ABF on thrusday february from 18:00-20:00. We have 9 computers and we’re putting 2 people on each computer, so 18 people is our max capacity.

• Create layers, set up some video clips and play around with them
